reverse SE106

Hi, I brought the complete unit SE 106. Once assembled, we placed it on the boat. Everything went fine until the shifting test. It doesn't want to go in reverse anymore and there is a sort of 'clunk' noise at the end (this is done without running engine of course). Any advice here? Thank you very much.
