Cobral vs. 116 reach

Can you tell me if the distance from the u-joint shaft to the prop shaft is different in a cobra 305 v8 outdrive vs. a 116?
I get some prop venting in turns and thought maybe the "reach" was a little shorter. I think I can correct it by going from a 15.25 to a 15.0 dia prop but wanted to know about this distance first.

Jeff,

I have been looking for a cobra drive to measure, but I cant find one at my shop. I have asked around, since we did measure this before and the consensus is that the 116 is no more than a quarter inch shorter than the cobra.

Okay, thanx.....I've corrected most of the venting with a Doellfin and I'll try a quarter inch less on the prop diameter.
