U-Joint

I have had my SEI out drive for a while, but it the U-Joints still make a knocking sound on tight turns. What should I do?

If the noise is not getting any worse, then wait until off season and call the warranty department. If it is getting worse, then I would suggest calling the warranty department now so you can send it it.

I am sure I'm out of warranty, the boat was stored for a few years, the noise does not seem to be getting worse. How easy is it to change the U-Joint?

check gimbal ring height @ lower hing pin between ring & upper ear. Spec is .010 inches. If gap is excessive in changes the u-joint geometry & could lead to u-joint noise. Ken
