OT - Gen II speedometer fitting

A tiny bit off topic, but I'm waiting for my new alpha 1 Gen II transom assemblies and SE116 drives and wondering if I can remove the existing speedometer pilot tube and speedometer hose that goes through the transom and glass that hole while I'm waiting. Does the Gen II transom assembly and SE116 drive provide an inside-boat speedometer hookup that will hook easily to a standard (teleflex) speedometer hose?

it should bt yo may have to get the connector kit from a merc dealer. yoprobly will have the new style not the white 1/4 turn one
