Changing Rotation of Lower Unit

I have a 2000 Mercury 250CXLEFI (counter-rotation) single motor application. Current unit is damaged after hitting submerged object. Can I change my lower unit out to your 216 model for a right-hand rotation configuration? The serial # is OTO76858, Gear 175:1

Yes, you could. You would need to purchase a new prop in Right Hand rotation and also change the throw of the shifter at the remote control unit.
